Reyes vs. Wells Fargo

This class action lawsuit involves Wells Fargo’s practice of offering its distressed mortgage customers Special Forbearance Agreements that seem to modify the mortgage to an affordable level, but then Wells Fargo fails to follow through on a permanent modification.  The case alleges that Wells Fargo’s description of the offer is deceptive and its conduct constitutes unlawful debt collections practices. It is in the precertification stage in the federal court in the San Francisco.  My co-counsel is Thomas Loeser of Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro and David Pivtorak, attorney at law.

ATTENTION: This case has settled. The Court granted final approval to the settlement on October 11, 2013. Settlement checks should issue to class members who made allowed claims on or about December 11, 2013.
